Come October and the Indian calendar shows more holidays than work days. Yet this time of the year seems to be the busiest for some companies, especially those providing advertising and marketing services. Yes, these are the few months for which the Indian population saves up through the year. Tapping into the emotional connect people share with festivals, brands go all out to appease their gods - the consumers - by offering 'unbelievable festival discounts' and 'Diwali Dhamaka Offers'.
